This is Us
For my first post on Living with Special Needs, I thought I’d introduce you to my family.
This is us…in a corn pit.
Andy is the dad of our family. He’s an awesome dude, if I do say so myself. He’s a network engineer {Don’t worry, I don’t really know what that means either. He’s a computer guy, okay?}
That little cutie is our son, Elijah. An energetic preschooler who laughs a lot and likes to show off his little dimples, Elijah keeps us on our toes {Oh, yeah, and he also has a severe brain injury he acquired at birth that makes it difficult for him to use his hands, speak, or see}.
Oh, and me? I’m Lisa. I’m the mom. I love to write, paint, draw and laugh at my own corny jokes {It’s okay if you don’t laugh too}.
Random children included absolutely free of charge {you’re welcome}.
So, this is us. Nice to {virtually} meet you all!
Lisa writes about her family regularly on her blog, Elijahland.

Hi, Lisa! I am laughing at your pun! Did you realize that you said “corny jokes” after posting the adorable pic of your family in the *corn* pit?? lol Elijah looks like a doll and I can’t wait to read more. I haven’t posted yet this month because it’s been rough here, but I will!
That’s a great picture! What does it feel like in a corn pit? I’ve never seen (or been in) one. Welcome to our little community!
